12 pre-soaked salt herring fillets
6 large dill pickes
6 onions

Sauce:
1/2 dl (3 1/2 tablespoons) tomato paste
1/2 dl (3 1/2 tablespoons) ketchup
2 dl (3/4 cup) sugar
1 dl (1/3 cup) olive oil
1 dl (1/3 cup) 5% vinegar

Direction:

Cut the herring, pickles and onions into 3 mm (1/8") cuves and combine.
Combine ingredients for the sauce and add enough to coat all ingredients.
Refrigerate 48 hours.
Drain off as much liquid from the salat as possible and add ned dressing to coat.
Refrigerate an additional 24 hours before serving.
