Mums meatcakes.


Work the salt into the meat until it becomes sticky, then work in the spices and potato flour. Gradually add the milk or water. Shape the mixture into round cakes and fry them in butter in a hot pan. Transfer to a pot with a little water and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Serve the meatcakes with boiled potatoes, stewed green peas or cabbage, red whortleberries and thick brown gravy.
